Recently, Dr. He Tao, a full-time researcher at Center for the Cognitive Science of Language, has successfully applied for a youth project in the field of humanities and social sciences sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China, titled “Neural Mechanisms of Memory Development in Adolescents Facilitated by Neural Activity Reproduction”.

Project Summary

Now, we are embarking on a journey to fully build a modern socialist China. Cultivating highly qualified adolescents has become a strategic need and fundamental work for national development. The development of adolescent memory serves as an important foundation and crucial aspect in nurturing highly qualified individuals. This project aims to explore the neural mechanisms underlying the facilitation of memory development in adolescents through the neural activity reproduction, using an interdisciplinary approach that combines psychology, education, and cognitive neuroscience. We expect that our findings will greatly deepen researchers' understanding of the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying memory development in adolescents, and provide theoretical support for school education and teaching practices. Additionally,we hope it will offer innovative insights for the development of application products aimed at enhancing memory abilities in adolescents, as well as clinical treatment and research on adolescent memory decline.
