Recently,the Center for the Cognitive Science of Languageheld the fourth graduate student union election conference, which was presided over by Hu Huiyi, the chairperson of the third graduate student union at the base, and attended by all graduate students at the base.
Firstly, Hu Huiyi summarized the work of the third graduate student union at the base, detailing the various academic and cultural activities organized by the union, as well as the results achieved. She shared her experience and gains from the union's work, and introduced the organizational structure, responsibilities, purpose, and service philosophy of the graduate student union at the base.
Next, according to the base's election regulations, the nine candidates for the union's executive members gave speeches one after another, discussing their departmental intentions, personal strengths, work prospects, and integrating their enthusiasm and dedication into their speeches.
After the speeches, anonymous voting was conducted by the attending and remote students according to the principles of democracy, fairness, and openness. After the vote counting process, the fourth graduate student union at the base was officially established and the election conference ended successfully.
