The first inspection team of the School Party Committee held a mobilization meeting for the establishment ofthe Center for the Cognitive Science of Languageon October 19, 2022, in accordance with the unified deployment of the school party committee. Liu Li, Vice Secretary of the School Party Committee and President, Yu Youxue, member of the Party Committee, Assistant to the President, and Director of the Personnel Office attended the mobilization meeting and made speeches. All members of the first inspection team of the school party committee, members of the leadership team ofthe Center for the Cognitive Science of Language, and all faculty and staff members attended the meeting, as well as the staff of the Party Committee Inspection Office.
At the mobilization meeting, President Liu Li pointed out that the party branch of the base should strengthen its political consciousness, deeply understand the important significance of inspection work, continuously strengthen the breadth, depth, and strength of the party's overall leadership over the base's work through inspection; the base should fully recognize that carrying out inspections is an internal requirement to actively promote the comprehensive strict governance of the party, and the directly affiliated party branches should continue to strengthen their style construction, implement the requirements of managing the party strictly, create a good political ecology and entrepreneurial atmosphere, and constantly achieve self-purification, self-improvement, and self-renewal. The base should fully recognize that carrying out inspections is an internal requirement to promote the improvement of the grassroots governance system. Taking this round of inspections as an opportunity, the base should fully implement the deployment requirements of the Ninth Party Congress of the school and the "14th Five-Year Plan" for development planning, continuously improve the internal governance system, enhance governance capacity, truly use learning to promote reform, inspections to promote governance, inspections to promote progress, and promote the formation of higher institutional achievements and greater governance effectiveness.
Yu Youxue, the leader of the first inspection team of the university's Party committee, provided a detailed explanation of the key tasks and work arrangements for this inspection. He pointed out that inspection work is an important measure to further strengthen the leadership of the Party, strengthen intra-party supervision, strictly enforce political life within the Party, and purify the political ecology within the Party. The Party branch directly under the base and all teachers should attach great importance to this and achieve the following: first, they should raise their political position, effectively enhance their political consciousness and actions towards high-quality inspection work; second, they should strengthen organizational leadership and effectively carry out all inspection work; third, they should actively support and cooperate with inspection work, create a good atmosphere, and smooth channels for expressing public opinion. The base should effectively enhance the sense of mission and responsibility of inspection work, discover problems through inspections, promote rectification, and promote improvement.
Wang Jianqin, secretary of the Party branch directly underthe Center for the Cognitive Science of Language, made a statement. He expressed that the inspection team's arrival at the base for inspection reflects the high attention, strict supervision, and sincere care of the university's Party committee towards the base.
