This year, two PhD students and 12 master students joined CCSL, and the first batch of PhD and master students in the field of "Language and Cognitive Science" recruited by our university also came to CCSL.

During the meeting, Prof. Wang Jianqin, the director of CCSL, gave a detailed introduction to CCSL, including the construction of disciplines and specialties, the goals of talent training, and how to choose a supervisor. Prof. Wang pointed out that CCSL is an international and open research institution with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education supporting the "Discipline Innovation and Wisdom Introduction Program" as the platform, with language cognitive science as the discipline construction target, and Chinese second language acquisition and cognition, language cognitive neuroscience, language cognition and brain-like research as the main research direction. The important tasks of the base are to carry out high-level and high-quality international academic exchanges and cooperation, to strengthen the discipline construction of language cognitive science, and to cultivate postgraduate talents. CCSL has both international and domestic research teams, an advanced language cognitive neuroscience laboratory, and international graduate programs, which make the graduate training of the base distinctive international and cutting-edge characteristics. On how to choose a supervisor for new students, Pro. Wang pointed out that graduate students should combine the choice of supervisor with professional interest, academic planning and career development, and new students should have a thorough understanding of the base's majors and disciplines, and the supervisor's professional background and academic research before making a choice.

At the meeting, each supervisor introduced his or her admission specialty, research direction and research interests, and each new student also introduced himself or herself, with active communication between teachers and students and a warm atmosphere at the meeting.
