On April 6, 2023, the kick-off report and expert consultation meeting for the school-level major project "stu-dy on plasticity of bilingual brain language connection group and prediction model ofChinese second language ability" was held, chaired by professorWangJianqin, the director of theCCSL.
Experts including Professor Gao Jiahong from Peking University's Magnetic Resonance Imaging Research Center, Professor Jiang Minghu from Tsinghua University's Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Pr-ofessor He Yong and Professor Lu Chunming from Beijing Normal University's State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, and Professor Pedro Paz-Alonso from the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain an-d Language were invited to attend, with Professor Gao Jiahong serving as the head of the expert group. Project l-eader Professor Wang Jianqin, sub-project leader and full-time research staff Yang Qun, Vice Researcher Li Le, Dr. Wei Yanjun, and Dr. He Tao, as well as all other research staff and doctoral students at theCCSLattended the meeting, which was hosted by Deputy Director Jiang Rong.
After listening to the report, the members of the expert group unanimously agreed that the selection of the s-chool-level major project was of great significance, the project demonstration was fully comprehensive, the res-earch design was reasonable and standardized, and it met the basic requirements for further research. The conten-t of this project not only reflects the characteristics of the university, but also belongs to the forefront of languag-e cognition science, fully highlighting the disciplinary characteristics of language cognition science. The expert group suggested continuing to increase resource investment, doing a good job of big data construction, and ultimately forming a brand effect for the university. The opening experts also provided many constructive suggestions o-n the experimental details of the project.
The agenda of the meeting included a kick-off report presentation, sub-project leader presentation, project t-eam and expert group exchange, and expert group evaluation. project leader professorWangJianqin first introduced the basic situation of the project, and the four sub-project leaders respectively introduced the research ideas a-nd innovation points of each sub-project.
