On June 27, 2024, the Graduate Student Union of CCSL held a Job Hunting Experience Sharing Session for 2024 graduates. This event invited three senior graduate students, Yang Dandan, Jiang Daoying, and Wu Danni, to share their job hunting experiences with first-year and second-year graduate students.

First to share her experience was Senior Yang Dandan, who covered various aspects such as job selection, time management, and examination preparation. She introduced in detail the types of positions available to graduates, the application deadlines, and the content of exams required. She also recommended multiple information platforms and official accounts to her junior peers, where they could search for relevant job opportunities.

Next, Senior Jiang Daoying shared about the preparations needed for applying to overseas Ph.D. programs, focusing on English proficiency tests and interview skills. She emphasized that regardless of the position applied for, one's research experience should be prominently displayed in the resume.

Lastly, Senior Wu Danni spoke about the application process and preparations for research assistant positions, as well as the examination content for some corporate positions. She expressed that being a research assistant is a position where one can pause and reflect on oneself, and that CCSL has a significant advantage in applying for such positions.

After the sharing, the attendees actively asked questions, engaging in deep discussions on topics such as balancing thesis writing with job hunting, recommended reading materials and exam formats for civil service and public institution exams. Through this job hunting experience sharing session, it is believed that second-year and third-year graduate students can clarify their future directions, make timely adjustments, and move towards the goals most suitable for their personal development.
