On May 6, 2023, Marcus Taft, a specially appointed professor at CCSL and retired professor from the University of New South Wales, Australia, arrived at the base for a one-month residency research. During the residency, in addition to academic cooperation with the base's researchers, Professor Marcus Taft will also teach graduate courses offline, give academic reports, and conduct academic exchange activities.
On May 12, 2023, Professor Marcus Taft opened the graduate course "Phonology in Visual Word Recognition" at the talent introduction base. The course consisted of three lectures, and the latter two lectures were held on May 19th and 26th, respectively. All graduate students at the talent introduction base participated in the course offline, and some outstanding students from our university's "Chinese international communication" Chinese language and literature training base also came to participate in the learning.
