In order to help teachers and students master the advanced language experimental techniques, CCSL held a workshop on language cognitive science in April and May 2021. Three graduate students, Wang Yu, Xiao Zhe and Hu Huiyi, participated in the workshop, and all teachers and students in the base attended.

The workshop was divided into three parts: NIR technology principle and instrument operation, NIR data acquisition demonstration and operation, and NIR data analysis. The presenter explained the knowledge of NIR technology, demonstrated the operation process and precautions in detail, patiently instructed the participating students and teachers to take turns to operate the instrument, and gave detailed answers to the questions raised by the participating students and teachers. During the practical exercises, the speakers and the participating students and teachers discussed and exchanged ideas, and they not only learned the knowledge and practical operation of NIR technology, but also experienced the beauty and fun of experimental research, which was very beneficial.

The workshop was well received by the teachers and students, and it laid the foundation for them to conduct empirical research using NIR technology.

This semester, CCSL started to hold the language cognitive science workshop and conduct experimental technology training for teachers and students, which is one of the important things of the base to "help develop and start a new game". In the future, CCSL will continue to hold regular training on various experimental techniques for language research, cognitive neuroscience research methods, industry software operation and other related training, relying on various advanced experimental equipment, so as to improve the technical level, broaden the research horizons, enhance language cognitive science professionals of the students, which will also make contributions to the discipline development.
