Brief Introduction to the Presenter:
Lihai Tan (谭力海), Ph.D. of University of Hong Kong, was selected as a long-term program specialist in the “Thousand Talents Plan Innovation Project” of the Central Organization Department in 2015. He is currently a Distinguished Professor of Shenzhen University, Dean of Shenzhen Neuro-science Research Institute, and a member of the National Brain Planning Expert Group. He has hosted research projects such as the National 973 Program “Study on Key Scientific Issues of Chinese Language-Related Brain Functional Areas and Language Disorders” (as the chief scientist, 2012-2016) and “Key Technology Research for Brain Disease Treatment”, a major project of Brain Science and Technology in Guangdong Province (as the project leader, 2019-2021). Besides, he owns more than 10 national invention patents. Having published more than 100 academic papers on SCI journals, including those finished as the corresponding or the first author in Nature, Science Advances, PNAS, and Current Biology, he is currently the associate editor of Science Advances, a subsidiary journal of Science. At present, his main research interests are the study of language decoding technology for human brain activation, records of high-density flexible electrode sheets and human brain activity, and new ultrasound stimulation system and neurological rehabilitation.
