Brief Introduction to Professor Wang Jianqin:
Jianqin Wang, Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor and Director of Center for Cognitive Science of Language, BLCU. He studied the Master of Applied Linguistics at the Department of Applied Linguistics at the University of Melbourne, Australia. From 2000 to 2001, he studied a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at the School of Education, University of Newcastle, Australia. Having returned to China in 2001, he received his Ph.D. in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from BLCU in 2005. He is currently an honorary researcher at Massey University in New Zealand, a senior researcher at the National Security Policy Committee, a visiting professor at Chongqing University, Bohai University, Ningxia University, Hangzhou Normal University, a teacher at the Northeast Normal University, a Distinguished Professor at the School of International Education and International Exchange College, an off-campus instructor of professional degree in Tianjin Normal University, a part-time researcher of China Language Strategy Research Center of Nanjing University and of Language Research Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, and a part-time professor of Beijing International Chinese Language Institute.
He has published Research on International Communication in the Background of Global Cultural Competition (2015, Commercial Press), Second Language Learners' Acquisition and Simulation of Chinese Tone Category (2017, The Commercial Press), etc. He was also a chief editor of a number of academic works such as The Study of Language Acquisition (2012 Commercial Press). Moreover, He has published more than 70 papers in Language Teaching and Research, World Chinese Teaching, Chinese Teaching and Research, Chinese Language Teaching Research in Taiwan , Strategic Research and Language Strategy Research. He had the experience of hosting and participating in major projects, key projects and general projects of the National Social Science Fund, including three major projects and one major key project at the Humanities and Social Sciences Base of the Ministry of Education. Apart from being one of the editorial board of the International Journal,Chinese as a Second Language Rearch (CASLAR), he is also an anonymous reviewer of many academic journals such as Language Strategy Research, Chinese World" Editorial Board, Language Teaching and Research, Language Application, Chinese Teaching and Research.
