On November 11, 2023, the Graduate Student Union of the Center and the Graduate Student Union of the College of Reliability and Systems Engineering at Beihang University jointly organized the “Journey of Linguistic Charm, Embracing the Future” collaborative event at the Olympic Forest Park in Beijing. The event was co-chaired by Zhang Xiuli, Minister of External Liaison of the Center, Li Xinti, Deputy Minister, and He Muyang, the rotating chairman of the College of Reliability and Systems Engineering at Beihang University.
The event first divided the participants into two groups through a draw. After introducing themselves in order, they engaged in ice-breaking activities such as speaking in opposites and deciphering ultimate passwords. The students cooperated with each other and completed intergroup score matches including carrying balloons between their backs, hula-hooping, table tennis ball gripping, and passing the word “goose” through whispers. The event proceeded smoothly, and the well-prepared games quickly familiarized the students with each other. It was a lively and rich event where students interacted, learned, and enjoyed themselves on the large lawn in Olympic Forest Park, filled with laughter and joy.
This event provided an effective platform for communication between graduate students from the two universities. It not only expanded the channels of communication but also created opportunities for exchange among graduate students from different institutions. The students on-site expressed their hope to continue organizing exchange activities in the future, fostering innovation and advancing together in their studies.
