In order to thoroughly implement the study and implementation of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, on June 9, 2023, the Party branch directly under the Base for Innovative Introducing and Training in Language and Cognitive Science, in conjunction with the Youth League branch, organized theme party and youth league day activities. The teachers and students of the base visited the Central Gift and Cultural Relics Management Center for learning and exploration.

At the Central Gift and Cultural Relics Management Center, everyone visited the exhibition "Friendly Exchanges, Shared Destiny: Gifts from Party and State Leaders in Diplomatic Activities." The exhibition showcased over 670 representative gifts (sets) received and presented by Party and State leaders since the establishment of the People's Republic of China. It displayed the glorious journey and remarkable achievements of Chinese Communists represented by Comrades Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and Xi Jinping in pioneering and developing China's diplomatic undertakings. In particular, it highlighted the great practices and historic achievements of the Communist Party of China, with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, in comprehensively advancing China's diplomacy as a major country with Chinese characteristics and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind since the 18th National Congress of the Party.

The main exhibition area showcased representative gifts received by Party and State leaders in diplomatic activities. Accompanied by the staff, the teachers and students also explored the first and second themed areas. The first themed area displayed gifts presented in major multilateral diplomatic activities since the 18th National Congress of the Party, while the second themed area mainly showcased gifts reflecting different civilizations and exotic styles.

The unique physical gifts, precious textual materials, and vivid video scenes deeply fascinated the teachers and students. Walking past each gift, they felt the profound friendship established between China and other countries, and revisited the history of China's diplomacy in wind and rain, witnessing the arduous efforts made by generations of Communists for China's diplomatic cause. They deeply appreciated the historic and pioneering achievements of China's diplomatic endeavors since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and gained a profound understanding of the connotation and value of China's diplomacy as a major country with Chinese characteristics.
